Unfortunately, this blog has gone neglected these past 5+ months while I juggle my one year old and my photo business as my husband works on the east coast. I’ve been shooting a ton but just don’t have the time to show them all off! I’m SO sad! Hopefully that will all change when I get my hubby back in a few weeks — I will post a HUGE catch-up entry…so you’ve been warned! :-)

In the meantime, I HAVE to get this wedding out there for the world to see. It was probably one of my favorite ones to shoot in the 7 years I’ve been photographing weddings! This couple gets the award for wanting the most picturesque backgrounds for their engagement and wedding photos ever, I LOVE it!! We shot their engagement session on Callie’s family property in central Oregon last summer…I was excited enough about that. Then I saw Smith Rock for the first time. I was speechless! I could have photographed there all day! Luckily they planned plenty of time for portraits so we were able to get some beautiful shots. Did I mention how much I loved this wedding?! See for yourself!

I haven’t been able to work on this blogsite in months! I am horrible!! The busy season is finally winding down now though, so I’m hoping to sit down and get this looking amazing VERY SOON! In the meantime…here’s an image from the latest wedding I photographed last weekend at Smith Rock in Central Oregon. I was in HEAVEN!! Can’t ya blame me?! :)

Wait..could it be?! I’m FINALLY caught up with blogging?? Oh man, I’ll need to celebrate tonight! What a 2011 I’ve had and I’m saving one of my favorite weddings for last. Marin and I were classmates at Central Catholic High School and have remained friends since. I was SO excited when she contacted me about wedding photography! I had never photographed at Postlewait’s Farms before and I was super pumped to get some great shots. I just love laid-back, casual country weddings! Add the fact that we had a gorgeous fall here in the NW and you get pictures like these! Such a fun day! Thanks so much Marin and Jeremiah, you guys are made for each other! Wish you many years of happiness! xoxo

Super late posting my last 3 weddings of the year! Ugh feel terrible. Had a crazy busy last min holiday rush…so now it’s time for catch-up! Absolutely LOVED this wedding…not only is the bride one of my closest friends, they had just the perfect day! The lighting was to die for! I was one happy photog :-)

THANK YOU Nicole and Travis! Love you guys!

This wedding will be coming to the blog soon! It was an absolutely beautiful day with a great couple! They chose to have custom photo save the date and thank you cards are part of their package…I love it! Take advantage of your photos, guys! Don’t just let them sit on your disk! :-)

See their entire wedding here!

Here’s some fun ones from Jenn and Kev’s PhotoBooth! LOVE their “logo” background (made by Jenn’s Brother Chris)!

Finally getting these pictures posted for Krista and John! Took me a while to sort through all 6,000 pictures! I had 2 second shooters for this wedding since I was nearing the end of the horrible first trimester pregnancy grossness. I wanted to make sure this wedding was well captured! I had a blast with them during their engagement session. I just knew that was going to be one for my portfolio! :-)

Krista was such a stunning bride, you can just see the admiration John has for her in his eyes. Such a gorgeous couple! Thanks you guys for allowing me to be a part of your big day! Wish you years of happiness and love in the future!

These 2 are very near and dear to my heart. I’ve known Kevin since we were classmates in middle school and have gotten to know Jenn throughout the…what was it, Jenn, 7+ years?! ;-) I now consider both of them some of my closest friends. It was my pleasure to photograph their big day back on August 20th at a private residence on Sauvie Island. It was a BRIGHT sunshiny day, but we found some shade to photograph in and we got some great shots. I just love you two! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day! xoxo

P.S. Congrats on outlasting Kim K.! ;-)

This was my first Olympia wedding and boy was it a beautiful one! I had been looking forward to photographing Van and Steven’s big day ever since hearing about all the details during our engagement session in April. We started with a traditional tea ceremony, went right into a Catholic church wedding ceremony, then had a blast walking around the Washington State Capitol for portraits. I had never had that much time for portraits before and it was amazing! We got to take advantage of all the beautiful spots around the capitol buildings. I am going to stress an hour for portraits with all my future clients! So worth it.

Anyway, after we were finished downtown, the bridal party hopped in a limo and we headed to the Thurston County Community Center for the reception. It was built on the edge of a lake and absolutely beautiful at sunset! Patrick and I had so much fun with these guys, thanks Van and Steven so much for the honor of being your wedding photographers! I know you have many many years of happiness ahead of you. Congratulations!! :-)
