Rather than go on and on about how horrible I have been about updating my blog lately, I’m going to brag a little and post my first “famous” shot! I posted this picture on facebook a couple days ago and it went viral fast! 20 thousand views the first day, it’s up to 32k and still climbing as I write this entry. I am so blown away by the response but I should have known…just look at these two! I’ll be posting Allison’s maternity session and of course the rest of her little one’s newborn pictures soon. I was so excited when they wanted to include their first baby Hunter, he is so fun to photograph! I fell in love with him at his puppy shoot and he just keeps getting cuter and cuter ( I need to post that session too. Sigh.)!

Unfortunately, this blog has gone neglected these past 5+ months while I juggle my one year old and my photo business as my husband works on the east coast. I’ve been shooting a ton but just don’t have the time to show them all off! I’m SO sad! Hopefully that will all change when I get my hubby back in a few weeks — I will post a HUGE catch-up entry…so you’ve been warned! 🙂

In the meantime, I HAVE to get this wedding out there for the world to see. It was probably one of my favorite ones to shoot in the 7 years I’ve been photographing weddings! This couple gets the award for wanting the most picturesque backgrounds for their engagement and wedding photos ever, I LOVE it!! We shot their engagement session on Callie’s family property in central Oregon last summer…I was excited enough about that. Then I saw Smith Rock for the first time. I was speechless! I could have photographed there all day! Luckily they planned plenty of time for portraits so we were able to get some beautiful shots. Did I mention how much I loved this wedding?! See for yourself!

I’m still so very far behind on posting my recent sessions and updating this website…sigh…I feel like I’m still learning this juggling act that is life with a baby! My goal is to have this site finished and everything updated by the end of the month. Wish me luck!!! 🙂

Since I can’t post without a picture, these little feetsies are from one of my most recent newborn sessions. I find myself photographing so many details during my sessions now that I have a growing little one myself. Their little toenails, cowlick’s, and skin folds are this tiny for literally days! Having these pictures to remember it by will be all us aprents have. I photographed 9 details of Jack when he was a newborn and displayed them above his crib. I look at those pictures every day as I’m rocking him to sleep and just smile at how CUTE he was (and of course still is), but I’m so thankful I captured those tiny features when I did. Until a time machine or life pause button is invented…I’ll be photographing tiny toes, noses, and lips as much as possible so all my clients can remember that “brandnewness” like it was yesterday.
(Have a mentioned how much I love my job??) xo!

I used to look forward to the holidays because it meant pumpkin spice latte’s, snow, lights, and shopping. Now…it’s these sessions. Love!!!
