You may have noticed my new bio pic at the top of this blog. I love it! My good friend Laura and I have known each other for about a year and a half now. I shot a bunch of weddings with her last year and we always have a great time together. We thought it would be fun to shoot some headshots of each other last week since the weather has been so nice here. After a yummy pizza at Leonardo’s in the Pearl, we headed out to try to make ourselves look somewhat decent (the reason we’re both BEHIND the camera, not in front of it!).

Here’s the result of our outing!

Thanks Laura!!

When my family had to move from Kennewick, WA to Vancouver, WA in 1990, I left behind my best friend in the whole wide world, Liz. She and I were pretty inseparable, going through the pains of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades together. I was absolutely heartbroken when I had to leave.

We kept in touch throughout the years, writing letters back and forth. I remember running to the mailbox every day in anticipation to read about Liz’s life “back home”.

We finally reconnected in college when she came to WSU our Junior year. We moved into an apartment off campus together along with Katie, one of her bridesmaids. What a fun year! Some of my best college memories were from those times.

Our friendship has stood the test of time and I was absolutely honored that she asked me to shoot her wedding last October in Richland, WA. She was a stunning bride and the wedding was SO MUCH FUN!! Riley and Liz are one of the cutest couples I know and they are so in love and perfect for each other. Just take a look!  :-)

Happy Holidays everyone! I’m finally all caught up on my shoots…thank GOODNESS. A month off in the middle of wedding season is not something I’m going to do again – good thing you only get married once!  :-)

Here is the rest of the session of my friend Susanna and her 2 boys shot last month. I posted their holiday card a couple weeks ago and was so happy to get a ton of positive comments on it! With those 2 handsome boys on the front…I don’t blame them  :-)
